Name: Takenaka Yuji | Shadowmaru (BP-501)
Age: 30
Appearance: He stands 5'10", and is mostly leg. He looks like he came straight out of Japan, with hair hanging somewhere around his ears. He has very broad shoulders, for his body type, more wiry than muscular. There are no real scars, or anything like that. Occasionally, parts of his hair end up bleached, as a result of dyes washing out, but, beyond that, he's fairly normal in physical appearance. The only real stand-out mark is a tattoo in the small of his back -- one of those stylized, tribal-looking ones, shaped vaguely like a canine. He says it's a wolf.
This guy, basically, if his hair was awkwardly streaked from a bad temporary dye job.
Occupation: Homicide Detective, with partner Nick Buuuuuuuhowdoispellit

Echoes Received:1st Echo -- Shadowmaru's first echo will be that of dying. Even though his canon "death" was temporary, this will be the first thing he remembers, dying in a desperate fight, from horrific injury. He'll realize he was the only one standing between something terrible, and his hometown, but besides that, and his injuries, the details will be obscured. A sense of loneliness comes along with these facts, as at the time of his death, all he could think of was his dead best friend and prototype.
This will be triggered by his being involved in a shooting incident on one of his cases, during which he was grazed in the meaty area between shoulder and neck. The wound was fairly deep, and the shock of it caused him to fall backward, cracking his head on the ground. The numbers and the echo were the last thing to flash through his brain before he lost consciousness
2nd Echo -- Seeing the snakes triggers back his ninja skills. Which basically entail a lot of fast movements, quick fighting, jumping, and hiding. This includes the use of shuriken, and a blade, but not the full arsenal of ninja weapons (not yet).
3rd Echo -- The memory of a close friend from his canon, namely the motorcycle detective Gunmax, who had a terrible attitude problem, in addition to being a cop on a bike. He won't recall a lot of specifics just yet, only that he was good friends with someone who fit that description, their name, and that they were a robot. ... also that Gunmax spoke often in horrible Engrish, because that's just funny.
4th Echo -- ALL THE TALK OF ALIENS and world domination. Nick's information on the police, Ray's echoing his being an alien... all of that. Triggers a memory of the circumstances leading up to his death in full detail, minus the part where he was a giant robot. He'll know he was fighting an alien bent on world domination. That he was all alone, because everyone else was gone, that more aliens were coming... all that.
5th Echo -- Seeing the more human robot will smack him in the face with the memory that WOW he actually was a robot at one point. He'll remember what he looked like, and his old name. FUN.
6th Echo -- Remembering how much he hated being referred to as a DOG because he "was a wolf"! Except he won't recall yet the fact he turned into a robot dog, just that he couldn't stand being called one, and very much preferred to be called a wolf.
7th Echo -- Blood Key encounter in
this thread returns his ability to remotely hack electronic devices. With his mind. Canon is unspecific as to the limitations of the skill, so, for in-game purposes, and echo purposes, we'll say it's nothing with incredibly high security -- small electronics and personal computers. Until he's a robot again anyway.
8th Echo -- An absurd conversation with Max
in this thread about drinking gasoline brings the memory he used to drink gas too. And also there was another place to put it -- the fuel hatch on the robots'... crotch... area.
this is canon i'm so sorry9th Echo -- The death of the Wise Snake earns
his robot dog transformation, human-sized, instead of giant robot sized. It will only be the size of a very large dog, say St. Bernard sized. It won't come with the nifty enhanced senses, either. It's the transformation and form, alone.
